Set up a FREE ACCOUNT to order. Your orders are picked fresh or processed on Thursdays and Friday mornings and are ready to be picked up at our host location, LEILANI’S GARDENS on Friday afternoons from 4-6 pm. Summertime is Just-Picked Produce Time!

HI EVERYONE!

Hope you’re enjoying a big 4th of July weekend! Also hope you’re enjoying the fabulous food that is available to you right now. So let me draw your attention to a couple of things.

First, Tomatoes. Got a decent supply now from LEILANI’S, even some heirlooms but not enough numbers to do single variety orders yet . . . maybe next week. Right now we’re selling them as Assorted mixed to get you the best ones. Look for them in the Vegetable section.

Next, Blackberries. From BRANBERI FARM and MY DAILY BREAD, both naturally grown without chemicals, etc. They won’t be around long so get them while you can.

How about Zucchini! It kind of snuck in under the radar last week, but they’re ready and waiting for you in The Market this week. The traditional long green Fordhook Zucchini is from FIVE HENS and LEILANI’S has the long yellow variety as well.. For something a little different check out the Round or 8-ball Zucchini. You can cut them in half and grill them with your ribs, steaks, etc. but try this instead. Bake 3-4 8-balls until partially done, cut in half, scoop out the middle and mix with cheddar cheese and onion, put the mix back in each half and finish baking. Voila’, a great (and easy) side dish.
